The season opens on Friday, Nov. 20, 6:30 to 8 PM. The City’s annual lantern parade walks down Main Street, then the community Christmas tree is lit. The City lists the event at 5210 Railroad Ave, the address of the market pavilion.
Small Business Saturday: Nov. 28
The City lists Small Business Saturday downtown on Saturday, Nov. 28, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, from 10 AM to 1 PM. No other details had been published when we checked. The City’s Main Street directory includes Caroline’s On Main, Whole Being Cafe, Peyton’s Pie Company, The Porch on Main and Antebellum; addresses are on our Main Street page.
Christmas Market: Thursday, Dec. 10
The Christmas Market is Thursday, Dec. 10, 3:30 to 7 PM, at 5210 Railroad Ave. The City’s listing promises free carriage rides, Santa and Santa letters, holiday characters, local vendors, food trucks and live holiday music. The 2024 and 2025 markets each advertised more than 40 vendors; no 2026 vendor count has been given. The date is not on the City website calendar yet. It comes from the City’s own Eventeny listing.
Dec. 10 is also a 2nd Thursday, so it would be a regular winter farmers market day by the City’s rule. Last winter the regular market skipped Dec. 11, 2025, the day of that year’s Christmas Market. Check which market is on before you go. Market dates are on the farmers market page.
Christmas Market parking
The Christmas Market listing names these parking areas:
- Pine Street by City Hall
- The gravel lot across from City Hall
- Railroad Avenue in front of the Police Department
- Parallel parking on Mitchell Street and on Railroad Avenue

The City’s New Year’s Eve event happens at midday. The Noon Years Eve Party runs from 11 AM to 1 PM on Thursday, Dec. 31, at 5210 Railroad Ave. It is a kid-friendly early countdown with sparkling grape juice, activities and a big balloon drop at noon. The City has not listed a midnight event.
What is not on the calendar
The City’s 2026 calendar does not list a separate Christmas parade beyond the Lantern Parade. The winter farmers market dates for November and December are not posted yet either. We add events when the City publishes them; the full list is on the events calendar.
Winter market Thursdays to watch
By the City’s 2nd and 4th Thursday rule, the winter farmers market would fall on these holiday-season dates. None of them is on the City calendar yet.
- Thursday, Nov. 12: a regular winter market day by the rule.
- Thursday, Nov. 26: Thanksgiving Day. The City has not said whether the market meets.
- Thursday, Dec. 10: also the Christmas Market, 3:30 to 7 PM.
- Thursday, Dec. 24: Christmas Eve.
Questions
What Halloween events are in downtown Flowery Branch?
Trunk or Treat is Thursday, Oct. 29, 2026, from 3:30 to 7 PM, with trunks along Main Street and Railroad Avenue during the farmers market. On Saturday, Oct. 31, the 27th annual Boo Run 5K starts at 9 AM according to its race page, and costumes are encouraged. Race registration is $35 before the price rises.
