A weathered wooden gabled barn with a dark open doorway and a louvered vent stands at the right edge of a pasture behind black board fencing and metal gates, beside a yellow chevron curve sign; a wooded ridge with early autumn colour runs along the horizon under a wide sky streaked with wispy cirrus cloud.

Market days are worked out from the season rules on the City of Flowery Branch farmers market page and calendar, checked 2026-10-17. The market's own site and the City calendar give 3:30 to 6:30 PM; the City FAQ says 3:30 to 7 PM. The 2026 to 2027 winter dates are not on the City calendar yet, and last winter the market skipped some dates, so treat winter days as likely, not certain.

Where and when

The market meets under the pavilion at 5210 Railroad Ave, Flowery Branch, GA 30542. The summer market runs every Thursday from May to October; the City’s market FAQ gives May 14 to Oct. 29 for 2026. The winter market runs on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays from November to April.

6:30 or 7 PM? The closing time conflict

The City’s own market page disagrees with itself. Its calendar and the market’s own website say 3:30 to 6:30 PM. The FAQ on the City’s market page says 3:30 to 7 PM. We have not been able to settle it, so our checker uses 6:30 PM, the time two of the three sources share. If you are coming after work, aim to arrive by 6:30. To confirm, call the City at 770-967-6371.

Who runs it and what is sold

The City’s market page says the market has over 40 vendors and is run by Renee Carden in cooperation with the City. It lists fresh produce, jams and jellies, honey, bread, pies, cakes, cookies, dog treats and crafts. Some vendors may also sell eggs, dairy, meat or plants when they hold the right licenses. Resale is not allowed, and there is live music on market days.

Two special Thursdays in October

  • Thursday, Oct. 22: the market is part of Stars, Flannel & Vintage Weekend. The City lists it from 1 to 7 PM with more than 50 vendors, and there is a petting zoo at City Hall, 5410 Pine Street.
  • Thursday, Oct. 29: the last summer market of 2026, on the same afternoon as the City’s Trunk or Treat, 3:30 to 7 PM, with trunks along Main Street and Railroad Avenue.

Both are on our events calendar with their sources.

Winter market: what we know and what we do not

The City states the winter pattern, the 2nd and 4th Thursdays from November to April, but the 2026 to 2027 dates are not on its calendar yet. Last winter the market skipped some dates, including Dec. 11, 2025, the day of the Christmas Market. Treat winter dates as likely, not certain. By the rule, the dates through December would be:

  • Thursday, Nov. 12
  • Thursday, Nov. 26: Thanksgiving Day. The City has not said whether the market meets.
  • Thursday, Dec. 10: also the City’s Christmas Market, 3:30 to 7 PM. Check which market is on.
  • Thursday, Dec. 24: Christmas Eve.

The Christmas Market itself, with Santa and free carriage rides, is covered on the holiday season page.

The pavilion

The market’s home came out of the City’s downtown project, which added a brick Market Alley, the open-air wood Market Pavilion, a pocket park on Pine Street and a park with an outdoor amphitheater. CPL, the design firm, lists the project as completed in 2022 at a cost of $4.25 million.

Getting there and parking

The pavilion is in Old Town, on Railroad Avenue. The City has not published parking for regular market days. What we have verified is on our parking page. Making a Thursday of it? The day planner puts the market, Main Street and dinner in walking order, and the things to do page covers the rest of downtown.
