Most downtown events are run by the City’s events office, which it calls the Department of Fun. It runs the downtown markets, festivals and seasonal events. We take each date from the Department of Fun’s City events calendar or from the organiser’s own page, and every card shows the source and the day we checked it. Where two City sources give different hours, the card says so. Cards marked as not yet confirmed are annual events whose next date has not been announced; we fill them in when it is.

Parking on event days
The City has not published event-day parking or street-closure plans for these events. The Stars, Flannel & Vintage Weekend page, for example, gives times and places but no parking. The City listing we found that does name parking is the one for the Christmas Market: Pine Street by City Hall, the gravel lot across from City Hall, Railroad Avenue in front of the Police Department, parallel parking on Mitchell Street and Railroad Avenue, Snelling Avenue and the Chestnut Street lot. Treat that as Christmas Market guidance, not a standing rule. Our parking page has what we have verified for normal days.
